Our innovative solution was to source extremely strong hook and loop fixings to the turf at a separate location, roll everything up, transport to site and install. The pitch then had to be tested by Sports Labs to World Rugby regulation 22 regulations before they could use it later that evening for the live televised event…nail biting stuff.
Of course it worked, need you ask? Did they use it again…sadly no, the project was shelved due to lack of return on investment…oh well, the thought was there!
